The floor lamp is constructed with whole poles of bamboo. The poles are patterned with cuts, which allow the internal light source to be revealed and the structure to illuminate. The round base is made of 8 poles of bamboo and a 2 inch piece of plexiglassRealization Process:
The 6 inch in diameter bamboo poles are first sanded to remove the outer wax layer. The poles are then cut with the desired pattern. A 6 foot long LED rope light is driven through the bamboo pole. Each pole that makes up the base of the structure is lit with 7 custom-made LED light bulbsTechnical
